Featherbelly

Featherbelly is the house artist of Grubby Garms and the founder of the label. The name came first — it felt right before the brand did. It carries warmth without being soft, and a hint of something feral underneath.

The artwork is drawn from lived experience across surf, skate, snowboard, yoga, and mountain biking — subcultures that rarely overlap on a rail but share a common thread: commitment to the physical, openness to the psychedelic edge, and a healthy disregard for sensible choices.

Stylistically: bold illustration, strong colour, graphic energy. Influenced by 80s surf art, skate graphics, psychedelia, and the kind of folk art that ends up painted on a van. Every Grubby Garms drop carries a Featherbelly piece.
